Colchester Rescue serves as an American Heart Association (AHA)
Training Center for the instruction of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic recognition of medical emergencies.
We offer courses depending on your needs or the needs of your
organization. Course completion cards are valid for two years. As all of our Instructors are volunteers, we generally require at least
3 weeks advance notice to
set up a course. We are not able to do one-on-one or last minute classes.

The course duration may vary depending on number of students.
With
the exception of the Heartsaver First Aid course, the Heartsaver courses no
longer have a written test. This does not mean that we have eliminated testing.
Instead a new skills test will be used as CPR requires hands on practice for
knowledge transfer. The testing process for the Heartsaver courses allows
students to demonstrate that they can apply CPR skills. It is much more
important that students walk out of a CPR course knowing how to perform CPR and
not just pass a written test.
